This is for no particular collage challenge...its just one for fun. Don't they sometimes turn out the best of all. No pressure, just relaxing with color and creating. Just make something! Its a good feeling...smile

Hello dear Maggie Ann! Yes, the wedding is over and it was wonderful! Very patriotic with flags, sparklers, and twinkling lights everywhere. There were lots of little children in the wedding party, all dressed in white - 'twas beautiful. The bride? She was stunning. But the laundry is another story. We had company staying with us for the wedding - what a terrible time for the laundry room to flood - I'm sure you can imagine... My husband is trying to solve the problem today. I'm helping him by mowing the lawn. Oh Maggie Ann! We went to a pig roast once and I felt like crying for the poor thing (silly, I know.) When the meat was served I couldn't eat one bite. Let me know how it goes for you!!
Thank you for letting me know about the pig roast. I'm glad you didn't have to experience it! I am so busy these days with my new business of selling water ionizers. I wish I had the time to just create, like you mentioned in this post. I love the feeling I get from the word "patience" and the man just sitting there - so very patiently. Life can get so hurried, don't you agree? My husband and I are hoping for a vacation in August to Newport, RI. It's one of our very favorite places to visit. I'm praying everything works out - we NEED a break! Maggie Ann, do you ever create your beautiful collages with photos of real people? Let me know.

Yes, they do! I love this. I don't have much success with the altered playing cards as yet. This one is great.

I've been away for a few days, but I'm back now and wanted to answer your question about the book, A GIRL OF THE LIMBERLOST. I don't know where I heard about it, but I recently checked it out of the library and read it. I had never read it before, but I really liked the book a lot! It's sweet and old-fashioned--this is so strange, but when I was in an antique store in Boise the other day with my mom, I found an original copy of that book (!)--it was dated 1906, and there was a greeting penciled in to a young girl on the inside cover--it was a gift from her grandparents and it was dated the same year as it was published! And guess what? The book was in very bad shape, being very dirty and ragged, but the pages were still good, and the lady sold it to me for a dollar!!!!!! And then, I found your comment and question on my blog about this very same book! Anyway, I cleaned up the cover a little the best I could--I will probably post my little story with a photo of the book soon. I did not know there was a DVD, so I'll have to try and find out more about that. Take care, Smiles, Jann
